In Paris, Marianne and Abel are a couple and share a friendship with Paul. One day, Marianne tells Abel that she is expecting Paul's child, with whom she has been in a relationship for a year. Devastated, Abel decides to leave. Marianne and Paul get married, and their son Joseph is born.
