In a twenty-year career that includes eleven feature films, three documentaries, and several short films, C. Denis has established her singular aesthetic, an elliptical narration that is essentially plastic. From the genesis of the desire to film to the actual shooting, her working method is analyzed using the filmmaker's own words. Seven of her feature films are then examined.
